Okyeame Kwame to participate in Arts on Third Festival in Mount Vernon, New York

Ghana’s Rap Dacta and award winning Hip Life artiste Kwame Nsiah Appau aka Okyeame Kwame is to participate in the Arts on Third Festival in Mount Vernon, New York with his Versatile Music Team. The Arts on Third Festival is scheduled for Sunday September 18th, Okyeame will deliver presentations on the relationship between Hip Hop and Hip Life at the festival commande viagra suisse.

According to the Mayor of the City of Mount Vernon Richard Thomas, the invitation to the Versatile Music Team is to serve as a booster to the tourism drive between Mount Vernon and Ghana. Last year, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) did an international launch of the Ghana Music Week Festival 2016 in the City of Mount Vernon under the auspices of the Mayor aimed at promoting Ghana as an attractive tourism destination and the Black Star of Africa which is a source of inspiration to Black people worldwide.

An excited Okyeame Kwame expressed his appreciation to Mayor Richard Thomas for the honor of inviting him and his Versatile Music Team to participate in the festival. He said his presentation will cover the historical origins of American music particularly Hip Hop and its

influences on the evolution of Hip Life. Okyeame says his team which comprises of management, dancers and wordsmiths is poised to lift high the Ghanaian flag.

The Art on Third Festival provides the City of Mount Vernon with six blocks of fun-filled activities and excitement each year.  Original art, art lectures and demonstrations, two continuous stages with live entertainment, vendors, two international food courts, health screenings, sports activities, and a children’s lane will be offered

The festival brings creative talent and the public together with Visual Artists creating an outdoor art gallery, as well as a pedestrian mall of merchandise vendors. The Versatile Team’s participation is sponsored by the City of Mount Vernon, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and other corporate bodies.
